Customer: “Hi, my son says that I have spartans on my laptop and I should bring it to you guys.”

Employee: “…Ma’am? Spartans?”

Customer: “Yes, I called my son at school and told him that screens keep popping up all the time, and he said that I have spartans.”

Employee: “Oh! You mean trojans! That’s a possibility; let me run this analyzer on your laptop real quick and we’ll see what’s going on.”

Customer: “Young man, my son is in college and he says it has spartans. You just stand here in a little uniform and make minimum wage. I think my son knows what he is talking about.”

Employee: “You’re right ma’am. I was hoping to run a diagnostic and find out that it wasn’t spartans, but just by looking at the login screen, I can tell that you probably have about 300 of the little guys running around.”

Customer: “300?! Is that bad?”

Employee: “It’s horrible. They cram themselves into a bottleneck and kill wave after wave of data, until there is a wall of dead programs blocking any more traffic through your computer.”

Customer: “Oh, that just figures. I’m going to go buy a new computer.”

Employee: “Ok, ma’am, I think that would be best.”

Cat...

One of the cats is always wanting attention, begging to be pet, given treats, get food.

Well, yesterday she didn't show up to beg for lunch. So, feeling that she was just hiding, we figured she'd want dinner and went off to finish shopping.

Came home, sat around until midnight. She still didn't show up to ask for food. No food was left for her. Between the time we got home and the time I went to bed, I would periodically get up and look in all her hidey places and places I didn't think she'd be able to hide, just in case she got somewhere odd. Nothing...

I stayed up until 3am waiting, to no avail. I went to bed, and laid there, listening hard, oh so hard for the sound of her collar hitting the water bowl or checking out the food bowl, or even just walking about. I heard nothing.

Didn't sleep well. Got up around 5:30 and she still wasn't there. Went back to bed after like five minutes.

The housemate's alarm goes off. He turns off the alarm...

And a very, very hungry kitty starts screaming at him for not leaving food out for her.

I feel so much better now.
