I get a call-back from West Corporation. So, yay, right? Well, I called today and set up to go in and take their final tests to make it through the application process. I find my dress clothes, wash and dry them, get myself ready and go up there. They take down my information and allow me to take the tests. I finish them, they print out some forms and have me sign them after noting everything was correct...

and then the lady looks at me, looks at my application and says "It's company policy to only hire people with at least one year's experience. You don't qualify."

o_o WHAT THE FUCK. You couldn't TELL ME THAT before I went through the trouble to DRIVE UP THERE AND TAKE THE TESTS?!

AUGH. I hate this. At this rate I'll never get a job.

*wanders off to cry*

So much for 'they'll hire anyone'.

EDIT:

Just called to check up on an application I submitted to a vet clinic for a part-time kennel assistant position. It's been filled.

-_- And I even had EXPERIENCE in that. AND I listed it.

I feel like I want to go die. But I can't do that. My kitties need me.

Let me know what you would *like* to do, and what you do NOT want to do. I've been asking around, but not sure what are "no-no" jobs for you. The pizza place next door to my job wants people, drivers and indoor folks. Try comcast and direct-tv and verizon, too, all local call centers.

I'll continue to keep my ears up. ^..^

Basically, I do -not- want to work at Wal-Mart or Publix (seeing how they treat Brim, I don't want that kind of attitude towards myself x__x).

Other than that, anything. West Corps IS DirecTV... it's company policy not to hire anyone without a year of experience, as I found out. I've submitted applications to both Donato's locations that I know (South Parkway and out there in Madison by the Publix). I really don't know what to do. I can't really do much driver things because I don't know Huntsville all that well. I tried Verison and they're currently not accepting applicants and Comcast is online applications only, and for some reason they're not working on the laptop. So I'm gonna have to go to the library and HOPE they allow me to access it there. And that it doesn't take more than an hour. c_c *prods limit of one hour*
