o.o Odd opportunity.

I talked to someone last night, with a running sim game. They've had it running for over eight years now, successfully, and earning money off of it...

Thing is, they need an artist. So I contacted them, gave some examples, and they want to hire me on.

They're offering $5 per small image I make with up to 10 different colorations (more paid for creatures with more colors). The recoloring is very easy for me, the way I do things. Not to mention it would be to draw the things I enjoy drawing. Dogs and cats. They need a horse artist too, and I suppose I could brush up my skills on that, and offer my services in that area as well.

It's just... wow. My art might finally start paying off.

See that, family? My art is NOT stupid and worthless! *shakefist!*

Be careful though, with pay-by-item sites. Do not accept anything lower than $5 per image! $5 for a 10 recolor is already REALLY low for good quality work, but I suppose you have to make sacrafices sometimes. $5 may seem like a lot for a little image, but remember YOUR art is what attracts people to this site. You're worth it!

Heh, the images she wants me to do and the style is something that takes me maybe an hour. And the recolorings like three minutes each. :P So it's not so bad. But I understand what you're saying. I just don't have anything else to go by, seeing as like... I normally get paid less than $1 an hour for anything else I do, commission-wise (if I get paid real money at all)... outside of conventions, anyway :P
